Claude Motion: From Static Docs to Moving Stories

Take the decks, dashboards and process docs already sitting in your workspace and let Claude Motion recast them as compact animations you can play, download or pass around.

  • Animation Written as Code, Not Filmed
The Motion template outputs an artifact — real code that animates whatever text, charts, shapes and images you feed it, with no footage involved.
  • One Small Edit, Nothing Else Moves
Because the clip is code, adjusting a single word, figure or timing cue leaves the rest of the animation exactly as it was.
  • Nothing Gets Lost — Artifacts Keep It All
Finished clips drop into your Artifacts tab on their own, sitting alongside every other piece of work you have created in Claude.

Three Steps to Your First Claude Motion Clip

No timeline, no keyframes — just describe what you need, refine it, then export or share.

What You Get with Claude Motion

Everything from the starting template to the final MP4 — Claude Motion is aimed at the explainers, charts and walkthroughs teams produce every week.

Start from the Motion Template

Open the Artifacts tab, pick the Motion template, then describe the animation you want to see.

Tell It the Audience, Screen and Length

Naming who will watch, where it plays and how long it should run helps Claude Motion tighten the result.

Bring Your Own Files and Figures

Add a deck, a dataset or a screenshot so the animation is built from your real material rather than guesswork.

Made for Short, Practical Clips

All-hands updates, revenue visuals for leadership and step-by-step onboarding are where the tool shines.

Download Straight to MP4

Once the clip looks right, the Export option in Claude Motion saves it as an MP4 file you can keep.

Yours Until You Decide to Share

Fresh animations stay private to you; you choose when to share, and admins control whether sharing can leave the organization.

FAQ

Claude Motion: Your Questions Answered

Plan access, privacy, storage and export — the details people ask about Claude Motion most often.

1

Which plans get Claude Motion, and is it switched on automatically?

It ships as a beta on Team and Enterprise. Team has it on by default; Enterprise keeps it off until an owner enables it.

2

How can an admin turn Claude Motion on or limit it?

Availability lives under the Artifacts section of Organization settings. On Enterprise, owners can also narrow access to specific groups using custom roles.

3

Will Claude Motion produce lifelike footage or people?

No — the output is code that animates text, charts, shapes and images, so no realistic video or human clips are created.

4

Where do finished animations go?

Each one is filed in the Artifacts tab, which is also where you go to kick off a new animation from the Motion template.

5

What's the process for downloading or sharing a clip?

Pick Export and then MP4 to save the file. Until you open a clip and press Share, only you can see it.

6

Do these animations use up my plan's limits?

They do — the work counts against the same plan allowances as the rest of your Claude usage, and heavier clips use more than a standard message.

Put Claude Motion to Work on Your Next Update

Head to a chat or the Artifacts tab, pick the Motion template and spell out the explainer, chart or walkthrough you want. On Enterprise, an owner may need to switch it on first.
