Why Teams Choose Claude Motions
Claude Motions is a beta artifact template that reworks the material you already have into compact animations that play back like real video.
- Every Clip Starts From the Motion TemplateBecause each Claude Motions animation is an artifact made from the Motion template, it sits beside your other Claude artifacts instead of inside a separate editing app.
- Animated With Code, Not Generated FootageClaude Motions runs no video generation model, so expect no photoreal footage or human faces — it animates the text, charts, shapes and images you hand over.
- All Animations Kept in the Artifacts TabWhatever you build with Claude Motions is filed in the Artifacts tab — the spot you go back to when you need to reopen, revise or pass it along.
How Claude Motions Works in Three Steps
Three quick moves carry you from a written brief to a shareable animation with Claude Motions.
What Claude Motions Gives You
From briefing pointers to scene-by-scene tweaks, here is what you control when Claude Motions animates your own material.
Brief It Well: Audience, Screen and Runtime
Tell Claude Motions who will watch, where the clip will be shown, and roughly how long it should run before you begin.
Bring Your Own Reports, Data and Images
Add the deck, spreadsheet or visuals you want featured, so the final animation mirrors your real material instead of made-up content.
Request Scene-Level Changes in Chat
Ask for adjustments right in the conversation — a slower second scene, or a corrected Q3 figure of 18% — and Claude Motions rebuilds just that part.
Fine-Tune by Hand in the Editor
Would rather move things yourself than describe them? Open the editor and reposition the Claude Motions animation directly.
Precise Edits That Leave Everything Else Alone
Because the output is code, one small change — a word, a number, a timing shift — keeps every other element exactly as it was.
Beta Access and Organization Controls
Claude Motions is in beta for Team and Enterprise: Team workspaces get it enabled by default, while Enterprise owners turn it on under Organization settings > Artifacts and can limit it to selected groups through custom roles.
Claude Motions: Your Questions Answered
Fast answers on Claude Motions, its beta rollout, and the way animations are exported, stored and shared.
What plans come with Claude Motions?
It is in beta for Team and Enterprise. Team workspaces have it enabled from the start; on Enterprise, an owner must switch it on first under Organization settings > Artifacts.
Will it make realistic video or show people?
No. No video generation model is involved, so you get animated explainers, charts and walkthroughs built from your own content rather than photoreal footage or human faces.
Can I edit a single number or word without a rebuild?
Yes. The animation is code, so revising one word, one figure or one timing cue leaves every other element untouched.
Where are my animations stored?
All Claude Motions animations sit in the Artifacts tab, filed alongside the other artifacts in your workspace.
How can I download or share an animation?
Pick Export, then MP4, to keep a copy. New Claude Motions animations start private; open one and tap Share to give others access.
Does Claude Motions count against my plan limits?
It does. Claude Motions draws on your plan's usage allowance like any other task, and longer or more complex animations use up more of it than a routine message.
Start Building Animations With Claude Motions
Open Claude, choose the Motion template or just ask for an animation in chat. On Enterprise, an owner has to enable Claude Motions under Organization settings > Artifacts before the team can use it.
